Neville Goddard, Conscious Declarations, and the Power of the Explanatory Statement

Jul 05, 2026

One of the most profound teachings Neville Goddard ever shared can be distilled into four simple statements:

Declare it.

It is done.

It is mine.

Thank you.

Not because reality already appears that way.

But because reality responds to the consciousness from which you live.

Neville taught that you don't wait for the outer world to change before assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled.

You declare.

You assume.

You live as though it is already true.

Then reality has no choice but to manifest.

That philosophy completely transformed the way I think about conscious contracting.

Every trust begins with a declaration.

Every contract begins with an offer.

Every nation began with a declaration.

Every relationship is defined by the terms consciously or unconsciously accepted.

Which brings me to one of the most overlooked documents in the entire American National Passport process...

The Explanatory Statement.

Most applicants see it as an optional attachment.

I don't.

I see it as an opportunity.

An opportunity to consciously establish the terms of my relationship with the United States Department of State.

Not by allowing assumptions to fill the silence.

Not by allowing someone else to define my position.

But by clearly declaring it myself.

"This is who I am."

"This is where I stand."

"This is how I understand our relationship."

Whether you're creating a trust, entering into a contract, establishing a ministry, or preparing a passport application, the principle remains the same:

If you don't consciously establish the terms of the relationship...

someone else often will.

That's why I believe the Explanatory Statement deserves far more attention than it receives.

It isn't simply another document.

It's a conscious declaration.

A statement of position.

An opportunity to intentionally communicate your understanding before assumptions become the default.

I find that fascinating because it mirrors one of the central ideas behind Conscious Contracting:

Relationships improve when expectations are consciously declared rather than silently assumed.

The same principle applies in business.

In marriage.

In trusts.

In ministries.

With the US Corporation and the IRS.

For those who want to explore that idea more deeply, our LIVE American National Passport Cohort walks through the entire process—including how I approach preparing the Explanatory Statement with clarity, intention, and purpose.

The next cohort begins soon, and I'd love to have you join us.

Because every meaningful structure begins with a declaration.

So does every meaningful relationship.

The only remaining question is...

What reality are you consciously declaring?

I WANT IT * IT IS DONE * IT IS MINE * THANK YOU
